Caltys, you are one of the best female League of Legends players in the world and probably the best in Europe. What strengths do you think you have that make you a great athlete?

My whole life I've always been very ambitious and I've always had the goal to get the maximum out of myself. When I set a goal in my mind, I try to achieve it. So, in summary, my ambition and goal-oriented mindset sets me apart.

You are known as a very hard working athlete, why do you play League of Legends with so much passion?

I'm the type of person who is very committed to my passions and wants to be really good at what I do. And that's League of Legends. With regular patches, as a player you have to be ready to adapt to different circumstances all the time. Otherwise, you run the risk of losing touch with the world's best. In addition, LoL has become so tactical and strategic that you can never get bored.

In January, you were the first woman to sign a contract in one of the top European leagues. After less than a month, you parted ways with the team again. How do you look back on that time with a little distance and what lessons do you learn from it?

I think at that time I was still a bit "wet behind the ears" and let myself be blinded by some things. Nevertheless, I am proud to have been the first woman to play in a First DIV in Europe. For the future, I will definitely take with me that I have to reflect better on my decisions beforehand. Then I am sure that something like this will not happen again.

Recently you teamed up with 4 other world class players. Now you are looking for an organization. Is this a consequence of the experience you had earlier this year or why do you want to play in a female team again?

The women team is definitely an option for the upcoming split. But at the same time, I'm in tryouts with mixed teams right now. And, I have to be that honest, mixed teams will always be a priority for me. At the end of the day, my decision will mainly depend on what offers I have on the table. But I'm also really enjoying playing with the other 4 girls at the moment.

Do you have any short term goals you would like to achieve in the next few months?

A: First of all, I want to hit Challenger as soon as possible, and of course I want to play in a team again. I also want to make it into the top 100 on the EUW server this season. So I have a lot of goals and I'm looking forward to the coming months.
