Equal Esports Festival Vol. 3 in Cologne

On 20 and 21 September, the time had finally come: the Equal Esports Festival Vol. 3 took place!

After a great festival last year, the Equal Esports Festival Vol. 3 took place again in Cologne.

A varied programme of events awaited you with exciting keynotes, panel talks, creative workshops, first-class show matches and gaming and mindfulness sessions with top coaches. With this, we have set another sign for more equality and diversity and brought the Equal Esports community together. Great personalities from the fields of business, science, sports, gaming and eSports were present on both days.

This year, the final of the Equal Esports Cup was a highlight of the festival. The Equal Esports Cup is a tournament aimed at all women and non-binary players. The cup consisted of 4 qualifiers and a grand final. The teams collected points in the qualifiers. The best 4 teams qualified for the offline final at the Equal Esports Festival Vol. 3. With an impressive performance, SK Avarosa was crowned the 1st Equal Esports Cup Champion!

Whether Esports fans, diversity enthusiasts, parents, students or teachers - there was something for everyone at the festival.

  • Frederik "NoWay" Hinteregger

    League of Legends Content Creator & Influencer

    Frederik Hinteregger, better known as "NoWay", is the biggest League of Legends streamer in Germany. Together with Tolkin, Agurin, Broeki and Karni, he forms the team "No Need Orga". NoWay comes from Munich and plays on Mid Lane.

  • Antonia "Reved" Staab

    Streamer & Influencer

    Reved has been active as a streamer on Twitch since 2019. Born in Bavaria, she also runs 2 YouTube channels where she entertains her viewers with amusing formats. In addition to VLogs, Antonia also produces gaming content.

  • David Puentez

    DJ & Music Producer

    David Puentez is a DJ and music producer from Cologne. Benjamin Beyer, Puentez's real name, has been working as a DJ for around 20 years. His big breakthrough came in 2018 with several remixes.

  • Esther Graf

    Singer & Model

    Esther Graf is a singer and model originally from Austria. She currently lives in Berlin. In terms of musical style, her songs can be classified as pop music.

  • Jona "JustJohnny" Schmitt

    eSports Event Host & Moderator

    Jona Schmitt, known in the League of Legends scene as JustJohnny, is an eSports event host, caster and former LoL eSports player. Most recently, the midlaner was part of "VININE". In addition to his career as a LoL pro, Johnny has also become known as an influencer and streamer.

  • Theres "Sissor" Modl

    Streamer & Influencer

    Theres Modl is a well-known German streamer and influencer. In addition to her activities on Twitch, YouTube and the like, she works as an eSports presenter for Sport1. She has been part of the Equal eSports Council since 2023 and also moderates the Equal eSports Cup.

  • Fabian "GrabbZ" Lohmann

    League of Legends Coach

    GrabbZ is one of the most successful League of Legends coaches in Europe. He was a coach in the LEC, the highest European LoL league, for over 5 years. During his time as a head coach, he coached G2 and Team BDS, among others.

  • Anika "Ryxcales" Wolter

    eSports Event Host & Moderator

    Anika Wolter is active as an eSports event host and caster. She is part of the cast of the Prime League along with other personalities from the League of Legends area. Since 2023, Anika is part of the Equal eSports Council and casts parts of the Equal eSports Cup.

  • Maurice "Mori" Lange

    eSports Event Host & Moderator

    In addition to his work as an eSports event host, moderator and caster, Maurice Lange is also active as an author. Before commentating at the Prime League and LEC in League of Legends, he already casted StarCraft 2.

  • Olivia "Ollimeee" Osthushenrich

    Streamer & Moderator

    Ollimeee, whose real name is Olivia Osthushenrich, is a German streamer and moderator. Besides her "Just Chatting" and "Valorant" streams on her own channel, she is also active as a streamer for Red Bull.

PARTICIPATING IN THE FINAL AT THE EQUAL ESPORTS FESTIVAL VOL 3.:

The highlight of the festival, the grand final of the Equal eSports Cup, was held on 21 September at 18:00. The following 4 top teams performed best in the qualifiers and thus qualified for the grand final. On Wednesday ( 20 September) the two semi-finals took place, on Thursday ( 21 September) the 3rd place match and the Cup final.

  • SK Avarosa

    SK Gaming was founded in 1997 in Cologne under the name "Schroet Kommando" and is the most successful Esports organization in the DACH region. Since September 2021, SK has been part of the Equal Esports Initiative. In addition to the "SK Avarosa" team in League of Legends, the organization also competes with another women's team, "SK NEBULA", in VALORANT. SK Avarosa secured the title at the Equal Esports Cup 2023. For the fourth year in a row, SK Avarosa will compete in the Equal Esports Cup to take on the very best in the scene.   • Team Mental Rush

    Mental Rush is bringing experienced players with proven track records to the Equal Esports Cup. The roster includes Zeniv, the only player to have won the Equal Esports Cup two years in a row, and Miella, who won the EEC trophy in 2024 as part of NNOWO.   • BDS Valkyries

    Team BDS is a Swiss eSports organisation that is active in League of Legends as well as Rocket League, Trackmania and Rainbow Six Siege. Teams BDS has been part of the LEC since June 2021. In July 2023, the orga announced that they had signed up the team "SeaPandas" and that they would from now on compete as BDS Valkyres.   • G2 Hel

    G2 Esports was founded in 2014 under the name Gamers2 and is one of the largest esports organizations in Europe. G2 currently fields teams in seven different esports titles. In both League of Legends and Valorant, G2 also has a female team. In 2025, G2 Hel won the Equal Esports Cup at the big Gamescom finale.
